Created after WW2 for most of them, the designs of Zina de Plagny’s Studio were taken out of their portfolios after a 60 years’ sleep, and partly revealed to the public during an exhibition at La Piscine, Museum of Art and Industry of Roubaix, in March 2009.
Everybody was struck by the modernity of the designs and it seemed obvious that we should revive such things of beauty. That is why we decided to reopen ATELIER ZINA DE PLAGNY.
Since its reopening in July 2009, our aim has been to give it a new impulse by enlarging its activities through
- a cultural policy of enhancing the image of textile designs, more particularly in various exhibitions
- and a developing policy of revisiting and editing the designs in the fields of Art, Fashion and Decoration, in collaboration with companies and manufacturers who can offer a high level of know-how and a production of quality.
We can also offer now the creation of collections, based on the designs of the Atelier.
In our e-boutique, you can find fashion and decorative items- scarves, throws and cushions , so don’t hesitate to visit it, and to ask questions if you have some.
